Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to outline the Department of Education and Maclean High School’s response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. In order to continue receiving current information from Maclean High School can I ask you to check the following please;
- Ensure the email address you have provided to the school office is current. If not can you phone the office with the updated details
- Check the Junk Folder of your email account. Some messages from the school have been going to this folder by default.
- Check the school’s Facebook page.
- Check the school’s websites
- Maclean High School https://maclean-h.schools.nsw.gov.au/
- School Library online website: https://mhsconnectedlearninglibrary.weebly.com/ https://spark.adobe.com/video/qaXhtcxObpcjh
- This has resources, links and advice in regard to wellbeing https://mhswellbeingwall.weebly.com/
- The Careers Adviser has set up a website for careers and transition information. https://www.macleanhighschoolcareers.com/
As you will have seen, advice from the NSW Government and Australian Government remains the same in regard to the following:
- Quarantine measures
- Isolation measures
- Social Distancing measures
Further advice can be obtained via
and
https://preview.nsw.gov.au/covid-19
The advice from the NSW Government at the date of this letter remains as
NSW schools are open but keep children home if possible
Maclean High School remains open and will continue to operate for students who need to attend, and supervision will be provided for these students to complete their units of work. This will be the same work as students completing their work online and will be different to traditional classroom experiences.
Given that this is clearly a situation that is changing regularly, further information will be provided as and when it becomes appropriate. I hope all families remain healthy and supported by their community in the unusual circumstances we face.
